亀

悠揚とした佇まいから『亀』。蓋は開くというより、滑らせて開けたい。
デスクに置いて、大事なもの入れに。外側は木目を活かす摺漆（拭き漆）で内側はいぶし銀箔。

※摺漆（すりうるし）…別名拭き漆（ふきうるし）。生漆（きうるし）を材に摺り込んで仕上げる方法。耐水強度は「塗」に準じてあり木目を活かす時に有効で、塗膜を作らない。褐色透明な仕上がり。
箔…薄く延ばした金属を表面に貼り施す技法で、漆を使って箔を貼る技法を特に漆箔（しっぱく）という。へぎ作品では金、銀、アルミ、黒箔（くろはく。あらかじめ酸化させた、いぶし銀箔）などで、多いのは黒箔。経年変化で表面がこすれとれ、古びが出る。
