方丈箱（2段）

「方丈(ほうじょう)」は正方形の間（ま）の意味で、小さな箱の中にも建築的な空間が見て取れるところからの作品名。鎌倉時代の寺院建築をイメージさせる雰囲気もあり、側面二カ所のグラフのような線が見える切断面と、へいである側面のコントラストが、現代的でシャープです。外側は黒錆仕上げで、内側は漆を塗った上に錫粉をまき、磨いて仕上げたもの。小さめの菓子器、重箱としても、文庫としても楽しめます。

※黒錆…錆に松煙（しょうえん）を混ぜ込んで黒く着色したもので、使い方は錆と同じ。
　錫粉…蒔きの技法に錫粉を使用したもの。通称、錫粉仕上げ、錫粉蒔。使用強度は強い。
